SUMMARY OF FINDINGS

This report summarizes results of a cognitive assessment and training implementation at Urey Middle School, John Glenn School Corporation, Walkerton, IN. Students experienced significant cognitive growth on average across all cognitive test areas. Average percentile rankings increased to within the expected range across all cognitive skills and all but one (verbal memory) increased to within the middle of the expected range. The students showed significant improvement on all of the Executive Functions tests. 70% of the 7th grade students who participated in cognitive training improved their performance on ILEARN, the Indiana state assessment.
